CFD
(Computational Fluid Dynamics)
CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is using the computer to formulate how Fluid and or Gasses will react in a given environment. This can be used for a virtual wind tunnel, to give the cooling capacity of a fan blowing through a computer case, the hydraulic friction through a valve system and many more.
CFD can decrease the "time to market" of a product by as much as 70% and at a proportional cost saving. It also gives a designer the opportunity to exploit new and exciting ideas at a minimal cost.

The Picture Shown here is one of a series. The CFD process was employed to the inlet port and combustion chamber. The exercise was to increase the flow but maintain the usable velocity in the inlet tract at lower RPM. This has several advantages the major ones being:
